Unlike the minimalist shoes reviewed thus far, this shoe protects the foot more yet allows a natural fluid movement. It was designed based on 2500 different feet, and in conjunction with a world class triathlete. Of all the shoes I have ever run in this shoe truly feels like part of my foot. Now on my second pair, this shoe have proven itself in training runs on pavement to rocky trails. But more importantly I have raced in it, and placed in 4 out of 5 events from 5K, 10K and soon to be 1/2 and full marathons I feel. As with all ball of the foot running shoes, a break-in period for 4-6 weeks average, to adapt to mid-foot strike on the ball of the foot pad. If calf or soleus is sore stop and either heel strike on the cushioned heel or use a regular running shoe.

Terra Plana - Evo Barefoot Running Shoe

Great alternative to using my Vibram Bikila's, has just a little more thickness to the bottom material but no change in it's flatness to the ground. Like Bikila platform, it offers a little more protection to the metatarsal heads, without compromising that barefoot sensation; the fit is secure and comfortable, and the shoe just feels FAST. As with all ball of the foot running shoes, a break-in period for 2-3 weeks to adapt to mid-foot strike on the ball of the foot pad. If calf or soleus is sore stop and either heel strike on the cushioned heel or use a regular running shoe.

Vibram Bikila Running Specific shoe
1. How do you rate this product? (Required) 0.5 to 5.0 4.8 2. Please enter a title for your review. 3. Please enter your review. Great running specific shoe in the Vibram family. I have been running and living in my Vibram KSO's for the last 4 months, and only had issues with sharp rocky trails. With the Vibram Bikila different density pads have been added and that has made a significant improvement, and the lining around the foot is quite comfortable. I love this new Bikila platform – especially for longer runs. It offers a little more protection to the metatarsal heads, without compromising that barefoot sensation; the fit is secure and comfortable, and the shoe just feels FAST. As with all ball of the foot running shoes, a break-in period for 2-3 weeks to adapt to mid-foot strike on the ball of the foot pad. If calf or soleus is sore stop and either heel strike on the cushioned heel or use a regular running shoe.

Review of the Newton Motion All Weather
1. How do you rate this product? (Required) 0.5 to 5.0 4.0 2. Please enter a title for your review. A great Newton Shoe for colder weather 3. Please enter your review. For speed on both the track, road, and trails. It has a stable ride with it's universal stability design, so it's great for both under, neutral, and over pronators. I've run up to 20 miles in training with this shoe, and competed in 5K's. All it lacks to be a few ounces lighter I prefer to marathons. As with all Newtons a break-in period for 2-3 weeks to adapt to mid-foot strike on the lugs. If calf or soleus is sore stop and either heel strike on the carbon cushioned heel or use a regular running shoe.
