Unlike the minimalist shoes reviewed thus far, this shoe protects the foot more yet allows a natural fluid movement. It was designed based on 2500 different feet, and in conjunction with a world class triathlete. Of all the shoes I have ever run in this shoe truly feels like part of my foot. Now on my second pair, this shoe have proven itself in training runs on pavement to rocky trails. But more importantly I have raced in it, and placed in 4 out of 5 events from 5K, 10K and soon to be 1/2 and full marathons I feel. As with all ball of the foot running shoes, a break-in period for 4-6 weeks average, to adapt to mid-foot strike on the ball of the foot pad. If calf or soleus is sore stop and either heel strike on the cushioned heel or use a regular running shoe. | |
