Great alternative to using my Vibram Bikila's, has just a little more thickness to the bottom material but no change in it's flatness to the ground.

Like  Bikila platform, it offers a little more protection to the metatarsal heads, without compromising that barefoot sensation; the fit is secure and comfortable, and the shoe just feels FAST.

As with all ball of the foot running shoes, a break-in period for 2-3 weeks to adapt to mid-foot strike on the ball of the foot pad.  If calf or soleus is sore stop and either heel strike on the cushioned heel or use a regular running shoe.
